Distinguished Service Awards

- Awarded to very few employees who possess an impeccable service record and are extremely determined, passionate, and dedicated. This can be shown by performing above and beyond the expectations asked of them. May only be issued by the Chief of EMS and Assistant Chief of EMS.

- Awarded to medics who show consistently high standards, professional conduct, and diligent medical work during their day-to-day duties.

- Awarded for performing a particularly noteworthy act in service to the department or the city.

- Awarded to medics who consistently work for and with the community to keep relations at a high standard through consistently high standards of public service and core values.

- Awarded for acting out of bravery and successfully resuscitating a clinically dead patient.

- Awarded to medics who, while serving in the line of duty, have been seriously injured.

- Awarded to previous/current medics that have unfortunately passed away.
Progressional Awards

- Awarded to medics inducted into the Chief's Office team.

Service Awards

- Awarded to medics who show consistent activity and dedication to paperwork and fieldwork, especially through divisions under the Administrative Services Bureau.

- Awarded to medics who show consistent activity and dedication to paperwork and fieldwork, especially through divisions under the General Operations Bureau.

- Awarded to medics who show consistent activity and dedication to paperwork and fieldwork, especially through divisions under the Special Operations Bureau.

- Awarded to medics who show consistent activity and dedication to paperwork and fieldwork, especially through divisions under the Clinical Operations Bureau.

- Awarded to the Employee of the Week. Although a single heroic incident may be worthy of consideration, special consideration is given to those nominees who have distinguished themselves and their profession throughout the week. This award can be authorized by a Lieutenant and above.

- Awarded to medics who have gone above and beyond with their duty reports, displaying exemplary determination within their writing.

- Awarded to medics upon successful completion of the Field Training Program and becoming a qualified EMT.
